I. How We Collect and Use Personal Information

Moyu Culture collects and uses your personal information that is actively provided by you during the use of services, or generated due to product and/or service needs, in accordance with laws and regulations and under the principles of legitimacy, lawfulness and necessity. If we intend to use your personal information for purposes other than those set forth in this Privacy Policy, or to use information collected for a specific purpose for other purposes, we will inform you in a reasonable manner in a timely manner and obtain your consent again before such use.

The types of your personal information that we collect and use include two categories: The first category: information necessary for the core business functions of our products and/or services. Such information is indispensable for the normal operation of the products and/or services, and you must authorize us to collect it. If you refuse to provide it, you will be unable to use our products and/or services normally. The second category: information that may be collected for additional business functions. Such information is not required for core business functions, and you may choose whether to authorize us to collect it. If you refuse to provide it, the additional business functions may not be available or may not achieve the effect we intend, but this will not affect your normal use of the core business functions. We would like to specifically remind you that, since we offer a large number of application products and services with different contents, the core business functions (including the types of your personal information collected for such functions) may also vary depending on the contents of the application products/services, and the actual provision of the application products/services shall prevail. In addition, you understand and agree that we hope to provide you with well-developed application products and services, so we will continuously improve our application products and services, including technologies. This means that we may frequently launch new business functions, which may require the collection of new personal information or changes to the purpose or manner of use of personal information. If any function or application product/service that needs to collect your personal information is not described in this Privacy Policy, we will separately explain the purpose, content, manner of use and scope of such collection by updating this Policy, page prompts, pop-ups, website announcements or other means, and will provide you with an independent option to consent, and collect the information only after obtaining your explicit consent. If you have any questions about the relevant matters during this process, you may contact us through the method provided in Article IX of this Privacy Policy, and we will answer you as soon as possible.

When you use WCU CUBE and its services, we will generally collect and use your personal information in the following scenarios:

1. One-click login / local number verification function

To implement the one-click login / local number verification function, we need to obtain your network type, network address (IP address), carrier type, local number information and SIM card status, which are used to obtain your mobile phone number with one click; meanwhile, the mobile device type, mobile operating system and hardware vendor are used for problem inquiry, analysis and risk control. If you refuse to provide such information, you will be unable to use this function.

2. Account registration and identity verification:

1) When you register and log in to a user account, or use WCU CUBE products and services, you need to complete a series of registration procedures as instructed by us, during which you need to provide us with the following information: account nickname, user avatar, mobile phone number and email address. The above information is collected to identify you as a Moyu Culture user and to save your login information. The above information is indispensable for you to register and log in to a user account or use the core business of WCU CUBE products and services. If you choose not to provide it, you may be unable to use WCU CUBE products and services.

2) Some of our application products and services support logging in with a third-party platform account (WeChat account / QQ account). If you log in with a third-party platform account, we will obtain the relevant information under that third-party account based on your authorization (including: the third-party account, user name, nickname, avatar and other information you authorize, subject to the authorization page of that third-party account). The above information is collected to provide you with account login services, ensure the security of your account and prevent security risks. If you refuse to authorize such information, you will be unable to log in to our platform using the third-party platform account, but this will not affect your normal use of other products and services provided by us.

3) In accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and the requirements of the competent authorities, you need to complete real-name registration to use WCU CUBE and its services. We will collect your personal identity information (including your name and ID card number) with your consent or upon your active provision; if you log in to WCU CUBE services through an associated third-party account, we may, after your authorization, obtain your personal identity information (including your name and ID card number) from that third party, and the above information is collected to complete real-name verification. The real-name identity information you provide will be compared with the data source of the authoritative data platform, and if the comparison is consistent, the verification is successfully passed. The above information constitutes sensitive personal information; refusing to provide it may result in your being unable to log in to WCU CUBE or being subject to corresponding restrictions when using WCU CUBE and its services.

4) To verify your true identity, we may need you to provide real identity information (including your name and ID card number) and biometric information (static or dynamic facial features) to complete identity verification. If you do not provide the above information, we will be unable to provide you with the relevant functions and services.

For the purpose of identity verification, you agree and authorize us to provide, query and verify the aforementioned identity information to relevant identity verification institutions (such as personal credit institutions and government departments), either by ourselves or by entrusting third parties. Please note that your identity information and biometric information constitute sensitive personal information; please provide it with care. If you refuse to provide it, you may be unable to obtain the relevant services, but this will not affect your normal use of other functions and services.

3. While using WCU CUBE and its services:

1) Reading/writing external storage of the device. We need to obtain the permission to read/write the external storage of the device (if you use an Android device, the permissions involved may include the “permission to read external storage”, the “permission to read/write SD card contents” and the “permission to modify/delete SD card contents”, the same below). The above permissions and information are used for the installation and storage of application products on the device and for reading application archives and files (including necessary application processes and caches, as well as reading, writing/downloading/saving/modifying pictures or albums, files, crash logs and other information), to ensure your normal login and use of our services and to maintain the normal and stable operation of the basic functions of the application. If you refuse to grant the aforementioned permissions, you may be unable to use our relevant products and services.

2) Application log information, including login logs, item logs, store purchase logs, activity logs, guild logs, upgrade logs, chat logs, in-application friend records, application match information and other application log information generated during your use of WCU CUBE products and services. We collect the above information for application operation statistical analysis, customer service complaint handling, application anti-cheating analysis and other application experience optimization analysis, and also to facilitate your viewing of your application history in the application client; if you refuse to grant the aforementioned permissions, you may be unable to use our relevant products and services.

3) Interactive information. When you interact with other players through text, pictures, voice or other means in the application, we may collect and save the content of the information you send for filtering inappropriate content such as pornography, violence, politics, abuse and malicious advertisements, so as to purify the application environment and maintain a healthy online environment. If you wish to interact with other users by voice, or to take, upload or save pictures, WCU CUBE will, after obtaining your authorization and consent, access your microphone, camera, album, and the permission to read/write the external storage of the device. If you refuse to grant the aforementioned permissions, you may be unable to use our relevant products and services, but this will not affect your normal use of other functions of WCU CUBE and its services (except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy); you may also disable the aforementioned permissions in the system settings at any time.

4) Application information and device information (including IMEI, device serial number, OAID, MEID, Android ID, IMSI, GUID, MAC address, SIM card serial number), installed APP information or running process information. We collect the above information to verify account information, ensure the security of your application account, and conduct advertising data monitoring and verification; it is also used to create a fair, healthy and safe application environment and to combat acts that undermine the fairness of the application environment or interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of application services (such as detecting piracy, scanning plug-ins and preventing cheating); we may use your IP address to identify the location of the device when it connects to the Internet, in order to implement specific activity content. Please note that in some older versions of the Android system, mobile phone manufacturers may bundle permission requests; in that case, the pop-up for obtaining device information may be displayed as whether to allow making calls and managing the call log.

5) Transaction information, including recharge records, consumption records and other necessary information related to transactions. When you use certain in-application consumption functions, we will collect the aforementioned information so that you can check your transaction records; at the same time, we protect the security of your virtual items to the greatest extent, and in the event of a transaction dispute, provide information to customer service personnel to support the handling of the dispute. Recharge records and consumption records constitute sensitive personal information; collecting the above information is necessary for the consumption function of WCU CUBE services, otherwise the transaction cannot be completed.

6) Application installation list. To ensure the realization of product functions and safe and stable operation, we need to obtain the application installation list. WCU CUBE will push the latest version and redirect to the mobile phone's application store for update.

7) Access to clipboard information. To improve user experience and facilitate user feedback, we need to obtain the device clipboard function, allowing email addresses or other text to be pasted directly without manual input.

4. Customer service:

When you file a complaint or appeal, make an inquiry, or apply for account cancellation with WCU CUBE, for the security of your account and the system, we may need you to first provide your account information, which will be matched with the personal information you previously provided to verify your user identity. Meanwhile, in order to facilitate contacting you, helping you solve problems or sending gifts, we may also need you to provide your name, mobile phone number, email address and other contact information and personal information. In addition, we will collect your communication information with us (in the form of text/picture/audio/video/call records) and other necessary information associated with your needs. The aforementioned information constitutes sensitive personal information, and we collect it to investigate facts and help you solve problems; if you refuse to provide such information, we may be unable to provide you with timely feedback on complaints, appeals or inquiries. To better understand customer needs and optimize services, our customer service personnel may contact you by phone to learn about product usage, ask for your opinions, or conduct follow-up visits for certain activities. We may also send you birthday greetings, holiday greetings or periodic marketing messages via SMS. If you do not wish to receive such calls or messages, you may unsubscribe via the method specified in the message, or contact us through the method provided in Article IX of this Privacy Policy, and we will no longer conduct telephone follow-up visits or send such messages to you.
